As a 60-ish reader, I found "Daughter Wisdom," start to finish, to be engaging, thought provoking, and guaranteed to be an invaluable resource to daughters of all ages!It occurred to me that daughters, during their teen years in particular, may not be wholly receptive to parental advice; but they would not mind having a book like this in their dresser drawer to refer to when they are confronted with life's growing pains. So, to me, this book would make a GREAT gift for mothers to give daughters as they enter their teen years.
Yet the book also has wisdom for daughters at later stages of life. I am so grateful that the author, a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, grants her book's purchasers the right to reproduce the letters contained within its covers as their own. After all, a letter from Mom, with its implied virtual hug or motherly arm around the shoulder to go along with her excellent advice, can mean so much at challenging times in a daughter's life.
